August Witte (politician)
August Witte (born May 19, 1890 in Deblinghausen , † June 10, 1968 in Nienburg / Weser ) was a German politician ( DP ). From 1951 to 1955 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament.
Life
Witte attended elementary school and then did an agricultural apprenticeship including a two-year technical school. He was a soldier in the First World War and from 1918 was an independent farmer in Steyerberg. From 1929 to 1933 he was a member of the Hanover Provincial Parliament. After the end of National Socialism , he became chairman of the DP in Nienburg in 1948. From 1949 to 1964 he was district administrator for the Nienburg district . In the second electoral term he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from 1951 to 1955.
