Auguste Charpentier

Auguste Charpentier (* 1813 ; † 1880 ) was a French painter.

Charpentier studied with Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres , the pupil of Jacques-Louis David . He is known for portraits of contemporary French figures such as George Sand .
