Auguste de Wilde
Auguste de Wilde (born June 2, 1819 in Lokeren , † October 7, 1886 in Saint-Nicolas ) was a Belgian portrait, genre and history painter.
Auguste de Wilde was a student at the Academy of Fine Arts of Saint-Nicolas and the Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten van Antwerp under Gustave Wappers . After graduating, he returned to Saint-Nicolas. In 1851 he was appointed director of the Academy of Saint-Nicolas. He painted portraits, history and genre scenes.
