Augustin Jamund
Augustin Jamund (also Augustinas Jomantas , Jamontas , Jamundus , Polish Jamantowitz ; * around 1525, † 1576 ) was a Lithuanian Lutheran clergyman .
Life
Jamund was from 1555 to 1563 Lutheran pastor at the village church in Kraupischken (1938-1946; Breitenstein, today Russian: Uljanowo) and then a Lithuanian preacher in Ragnit (Neman).

Augustin Jamund published some Lithuanian chants. He was the heir to the library of Martynas Mažvydas . Around 1545 Simonas Vaišnoras became his successor. In a letter from Prince Albrecht of Prussia on January 3, 1576, he wrote that Jomantas had started to translate the New Testament into Lithuanian .
