Augusto Tominz

Augusto Tominz (born February 1, 1818 in Rome , † 1883 in Trieste ) was an Italian painter and gallery director.

Augusto Tominz was first a student of his father Giuseppe Tominz , later he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice under Odorico Politi and Michelangelo Grigoletti . In 1846 Tominz went to Trieste and in 1872 became director of the Revoltella Museum . His son Alfredo Tominz (1854–1936) also became a painter and his father's successor in the Revoltella Museum.
