Augustus is a board game by Paolo Mori . The game was nominated for Game of the Year 2013 and reached 10th place in the German Games Prize 2013. At the Austrian game of games , it was named a “games hit for families”. At the Italian Gioco dell'Anno it was the winner in 2013.

Game flow
Players collect legions that are on cards in their display. They try to control provinces and people with symbols on tiles. If a player manages this, he shouts “Ave Caesar” and receives a certain number of victory points.
Characterization of the game
The game material consists largely of cards, supplemented with tiles and worker figures. The playing time is comparatively short and the scope of the rules is small, so that it can be classified as a family game. The game principle has slight influences from the game of bingo, but extends the principle through tactical decision-making options.
