The inscription ( RIB 1545 )
Aulus Cluentius Habitus was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 3rd century AD .
An inscription on an altar that was found at the Brocolitia castle and which is dated to the beginning of the 3rd century shows that Habitus was prefect of the Cohors I Batavorum , who were stationed in the province of Britannia at that time . He was registered in the Voltinia tribe and came from Colonia Septimia Aurelia Larinum , today's Larino .
