Lariño is a town in the Spanish province of A Coruña in Galicia with about 364 inhabitants (as of 2015). The place belongs to the municipality of Carnota , which is also called "the gateway to the Costa da Morte " ( Coast of Death ). The next largest city is the port town of Muros . Lariño is located about 30 km from Cape Finisterre ( Spanish Cabo de Finisterre , Galician Cabo Fisterra , both derived from Latin finis terrae , "end of the earth").
In the course of the last few decades the population continued to decline. In 2000 around 500 people lived in Lariño, in 2010 it was only 440 people. In 2015, the population reached a low point of only 364.
Since the place is located directly on the Atlantic coast , it also lives from tourism due to its beach.
