Bleeding (photography)

The bleeding (also erasure ) is the mostly undesirable effect of the merging of color boundaries in photo technology . Elements of the motif can be covered. A well-known example comes from the recordings of the Apollo moon landing flights (see illustration).

The term is also used in the field of printed media, where a similar effect can occur.
