A failure is a counterattack a Garrison from a siege Burg , fortress or enclosed position to break with the aim of the siege, or enclosure, or at least to disturb significantly hostile action or supplies and material capture . When building the fortress , special courtyards were often created for this purpose (as a staging area for the troops deployed in the event of a breakdown) and portals or gates to which the arterial roads could connect. The effectiveness of a failure can be increased by working together with relief forces .
