Design (technology)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In engineering, design refers to the design of components so that they can fulfill their defined purpose. This can affect all aspects of design, construction, manufacture, operation and end of service:

  • Application environment with temperature, pressure and humidity
  • Atmosphere , d. H. chemical composition of the surrounding gas, if not air
  • Loads and collective loads
  • Repair options
  • lifespan
  • Disposal options.

Once decisions have been made about the type of construction , the materials and the shape , the next step is the numerical definition of geometric sizes. This means design and dimensioning .
