Ausserschwyz (region)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ausserschwyz region today refers to the areas of the Canton of Schwyz in Switzerland on Lake Zurich and Obersee . These are the districts of March , Höfe and Einsiedeln .

The region is only partially congruent with the short-lived half-canton of Ausserschwyz (1831–1833), because at that time different border lines prevailed and other parts of the canton belonged to the half-canton.
