The Austaasen Bank ( English ) is a bank in the Southern Ocean . It is located off the Princess Martha coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land at a sea depth of around 200 m.

It was named at the suggestion of the surveyor and glaciologist Heinrich Hinze from the Alfred Wegener Institute . The name is derived from Auståsen (Norwegian for east hill ), an ice dome in the vicinity of the bank .
