Construction of the building began in 2015 and is expected to be finished in 2020. Then the building will be the second tallest building in the country, the continent and the southern hemisphere , with a total height of 318.7 m and 100 floors , behind the Q1 Tower in Gold Coast . It will be the tallest building in Melbourne. The high-rise was designed by Fender Katsalidis Architects.

The Australia 108 is mainly intended to accommodate apartments. According to official information, there should be a hotel in addition to 664 apartments. The hotel will stretch from the 83rd to the 101st floor over the entire 18 floors and provide 288 rooms.
