History and construction

The SP-4000 was developed from the two-seat Australian Lightwing SP-2000 Speed and, like this, is a two-seat low-wing aircraft with a conventional tail unit. The machine has a non-retractable nose wheel landing gear. The seats are arranged in two rows in a closed cabin. Access to the cabin is via double doors on both sides. The fuselage is welded from steel tubes and covered with GRP. The Lycoming O-320 with 112 to 119 kW Lycoming or the Lycoming O-360 with 134 to 149 kW are offered as engines. Equipping with similar engines from Continental would be possible. The aircraft is also offered as a kit for amateur construction .
