Austrian Council on Climate Change

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Austrian Council on Climate Change (ACCC) is an Austrian interdisciplinary climate advisory board that helps shape international research programs on the topic of climate change .

development

The former Austrian CO 2 Commission has been dealing with the challenges of possible climate change in Austria since 1991. A new contract to advise and support climate policy in 1996 led to the formation of the ACCC (Austrian Climate Council).

Eleven professors from various research areas were commissioned to help shape the international research programs on the subject of climate change in an interdisciplinary collaboration in order to interpret the results for Austria. A discussion with all those involved should develop from this in order to find out the possibilities of a climate-friendly form of economy .

Today the ACCC is an information portal for national and international climate policy and research . The ACCC works closely with the Ministry of Life and the Federal Environment Agency .
