autoFACHMANN is the monthly, official training medium of the German motor vehicle trade for the commercial-technical training for motor vehicle mechatronics technicians in Germany. The specialist magazine is aimed at trainees, trainers and vocational school teachers in the automotive industry. autoFACHMANN is a combination product of journal and e-learning system including a digital report booklet. Coordinated with the official training regulations, the magazine offers a separate booklet for each year of training. In the training part, completed learning content tailored to the apprenticeship year, evidence of knowledge and an official report booklet prepare for the journeyman's examination . A shell part that is identical for all apprenticeship years with articles on all aspects of automotive and workshop technology completes the autoFACHMANN .
The journal gives all trainees access to the autoFACHMANN Digital e-learning system . It includes interactive exercises and animations as well as a digital report booklet. Journal and e-learning module build closely on one another.
autoFACHMANN appears with a circulation of almost 60,000 copies in the Würzburg specialist media company Vogel Communications Group GmbH & Co. KG.
While autoFACHMANN is aimed at commercial-technical trainees, the affiliated sister magazine autoKAUFMANN is geared towards commercial training in the automotive industry. autoKAUFMANN is also the official training journal of the German motor vehicle trade.
history
The first edition appeared in 1972 as the successor to the specialist magazine “Young Craftsmen in Kfz-Betrieb”, first published in 1962 by the same publisher. In 2013 autoFACHMANN was awarded the special prize of the German trade press, which is not tied to a single category, as the specialist medium of the year.
