The motorway junction Szczecin-Kijewo ( Polish : Węzeł autostradowy Szczecin-Kijewo ) is located in the east of the Polish city of Szczecin in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship . It connects the Polish motorway A6 and expressway S3 (north-south axis) with state road 10 (west-east axis) and thus represents an important junction in the road network in Poland. In the future, the expressway S10 will also begin here.

history

The junction was built in 1937 with the Reichsautobahn Berlin – Königsberg . However, at that time the knot was only half a clover leaf. At that time the node was called Stettin- Altdamm . In the 1970s / 1980s, the junction was expanded into a full clover leaf as part of the extension of Landesstraße 10 by a second lane. Since this node does not have the geometric parameters of a motorway, the node is currently being rebuilt. Therefore, on September 8, 2017, a construction contract was signed with Energopol Szczecin SA to carry out this work. Since the contractor has filed for bankruptcy, the GDDKiA terminated the contract. A new tender is currently running. The completion of the work is planned for 2021.
