Motor transport

In Germany, motor transport refers to the movement of people ( passenger transport ) and goods ( goods transport ) using motor- driven vehicles ( motor vehicles ). In addition, the term is used to designate the mode of transport "road freight and road passenger transport ", whose task is the public provision of road transport services , e.g. B. Transport companies such as omnibus companies and haulage companies.

The term is also used colloquially as a synonym for (road) freight transport , although this meaning does not cover the actual range of tasks of motor transport.
