The avendi Senior Service GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Mannheim , was established in 2001 as a subsidiary of the Group Diringer & Scheidel founded and now operates with a focus in the Rhine-Neckar and Dessau 20 seniors facilities with a total of 1,484 stationary Nursing places, 744 serviced senior service apartments and around 1500 employees. The name avendi is derived from the Latin term "ars vivendi" (= the art of life, the art of living).
It was founded at the beginning of 2001 from the development of the "Senior Real Estate" division within the owner-managed Diringer & Scheidel group of companies. Diringer und Scheidel has been represented in almost all construction sectors for around 90 years.
