Aviador Dro
Aviador Dro (short for: El aviador Dro y sus obreros especializados ) is a Spanish electronic band that was founded in Madrid in 1979 and consists of the members Biovac N (Servando Carballar), Arcoiris (Marta Cervera), ATAT (Ismael Contreras) and Nexus ( Jerónimo Ugalde). The group laid the foundations for electropop in Spain in the early 1980s . Her greatest successes include Nuclear sí , Selector de frecuencias , La chica de plexiglás and La televisión es nutritiva . In 1982 they founded Dro (Discos Radioactivos Organizados), a Spanish independent label , to distribute their own productions.
style
Stylistically, they are close to groups such as Devo from the USA, Kraftwerk from Germany and Gary Numan from Great Britain. In their texts they critically deal with the topic of nuclear energy and deal with the mechanization of life in general. They see their roots in Dadaism , Surrealism and Futurism .
