Awa Jawo (born February 21, 1997 ) is a Gambian soccer player .

Jawo first played for the youth football club Tentu FC . From 2004 she played with her twin sister Adama Jawo for the Red Scorpions . In 2005 she took part in a competition in Oslo for two weeks with the GIFT Academy .

At the end of January 2014, she was supposed to be used in a friendly match between the Gambian women's national team against Guinea-Bissau , which was canceled at short notice. In August 2017, she was part of the Gambian women's national team for a friendly against Cape Verde , which was also canceled.

On September 16, 2017, she was in the squad for Gambia's first official international game against Guinea-Bissau.

She competed with the Gambian team in qualifying for the 2018 Africa Cup of Nations. The team was eliminated in the second round against Nigeria , which later won the title.
