Axel Fleisch (born December 6, 1968 in Langenhagen ) is a German Africanist .

Life

Between 1989 and 1995 he studied African studies, geography, general linguistics and ethnology at the University of Cologne . Between 2002 and 2004 he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, Berkeley . He teaches as a professor for African studies in Helsinki and Frankfurt am Main .
