Axel Koch

Axel Koch (born April 21, 1967 in Hanover ) is a German psychologist , university professor and author .

Axel Koch has been Professor of Training and Coaching at the University of Applied Management in Ismaning since 2012 . Another focus is work and organizational psychology with topics such as leadership and communication , work and health (healthy leadership, work-life balance , stress and burnout) and sustainable personnel development .

Before that he was professor for business psychology at the SRH Fernhochschule Riedlingen. He was also a "Senior Consultant" at a Munich-based management consultancy specializing in "Leadership", as well as a trainer and personnel developer in an international distribution company. He accompanied the introduction of performance management .

Axel Koch is best known for the non-fiction book “The Further Education Lie” (alias R. Gris, 2008). A year later he announced his name and gave a public lecture at an annual celebration of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. According to the journal Organizational Development, he is one of the "most important thought leaders on the essential questions about the future of HR"

In his research, Koch deals with the topic of “sustainable personnel development”. Koch coined the term "transfer strength" in 2009 and means a bundle of attitudes and skills that a person must have in order to be able to implement learning knowledge independently and sustainably in practice. Personnel development measures should become more effective.
