Axel Nielsen

Axel Eduard Hjorth Nielsen (born December 30, 1880 in Copenhagen , † May 22, 1951 in Gentofte ) was a Danish economist . He received his doctorate from the University of Copenhagen in 1908 and was a professor there from 1911 to 1951. He was rector of the university in 1935 and 1936.

Dogma story

In the German-speaking world, Nielsen was best known for his dogma story , published in Copenhagen in 1911, The Origin of German Cameral Science in the 17th Century . In it he dedicates himself to the development of camera science from the point of view of the theory of the state. He emphasizes the importance of the Aristotelian writings for the economics of the early modern period and ends with the analysis of how the camera sciences flow into the philosophy of the Enlightenment. The work is received above all in the history of tax collection.
