Axel Schultheiss

Axel Schultheiss , also Axel Schultheiss , (born June 4, 1960 ) is a German fingerstyle and jazz guitarist .

Schultheiß has been fascinated by the sound of guitars, especially acoustic guitars, since he was fifteen. The first compositions were created, initially based on the fingerstyle style. In 1985 his debut album was released with Guitaristic Paintings . In the following years he combined the acoustic guitar with effects devices such as delays and loops ; The result was the albums Free Mind (2000) and Departure (2002) released by Acoustic Music . In 2007 the solo CD The Uplift followed . The album On Wings (2009) made it into the American Top Ten (on echoes.org). With his book Creative Ways to Rediscover the Acoustic Guitar (2012), Schultheiß pursued an alternative approach to common guitar textbooks.
