Axel Stibi

Axel Stibi (born July 17, 1966 ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and was mayor of Kevelaer from 2004 to 2015 .

Career

In 1985 he graduated from high school, followed by basic military service . From 1987 to 1992 he studied law in Münster . In 1992 he received his first state examination in law, followed by a doctorate in tax law. 1994 to 1996 he worked in the traineeship in Düsseldorf . In 1996 he received the second state examination in law.

In 1996 he was employed by a law firm. From 1997 to 2000 he worked as a public law advisor at the Bildungswerk der Kommunalpolitischen Vereinigung. From 1999 to 2000 he was a member of the City Council of Geldern , and from 2000 to 2004 he was head of the legal office in Geldern. From 2004 to 2015 he was mayor of the city of Kevelaer. Since 2016 he has been head of the legal office in Mönchengladbach.
