Axel Tüttelmann

Axel Tüttelmann (* 1947 ) is a retired German major general . From 1994 to 1998 he was in the rank of colonel commander of the air readiness of the Federal Ministry of Defense and until 2005 commander of the NATO AWACS association at NATO airfield Geilenkirchen as brigadier general . In his last assignment he was in command of the entire early warning fleet of NATO at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe based in Mons , Belgium , with which on September 7, 2005, his appointment as major general was connected. In 2009 he retired.
