Axel Wilke (born September 16, 1963 in Lahnstein ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Speyer in 1981 , Wilke studied law in Regensburg, Mannheim, Lausanne and Saarbrücken. In 1990 he passed the second state examination and two years later he received his doctorate. From 1991 to 1997 he was a notary assessor before he settled in Ludwigshafen am Rhein as an independent notary.

1985 Wilke joined the CDU. He has been a member of the Speyer City Council since 1994 . In 2006 he was elected to the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament. There he is the legal policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group. After an affair about a savings bank loan for his daughter, he announced his withdrawal from state politics.
