Axiata Cup 2014

The 2014 Axiata Cup was the third edition of this badminton competition . The winner was the team from Thailand.

mode

From November 27th to December 3rd, a preliminary round of the eight participating teams was held in Jakarta in the mode everyone-against-everyone. Teams from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines as well as a European and an Asian selection took part. On December 6th, the four winners played the semi-finals in Kuala Lumpur , and the winners played the final on December 7th in Kuala Lumpur. The total prize pool was $ 1 million, of which $ 400,000 went to the winner, $ 200,000 to runner-up, $ 150,000 to runner-up, and $ 100,000 to runner-up. The teams eliminated in the preliminary round received $ 60,000 (5th place), $ 40,000 (6th place), $ 30,000 (7th place) and $ 20,000 (8th place).
