The Axiata Cup 2013 was the second edition of this badminton competition . At this edition, women started in the teams for the first time as well as a non-Asian team for the first time with the European selection. The winner was the team from Malaysia.

mode

From March 21st to March 24th (in Surabaya ) and from March 29th to 31st, 2013 (in Kuala Lumpur ), a preliminary round of the eight teams involved was held in the mode everyone-against-everyone. Teams from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines as well as a European and an Asian selection took part. On April 13th, the four winners played the semi-finals in Kuala Lumpur, and the winners played the final in Kuala Lumpur on April 14th. The total prize pool was $ 1 million, of which $ 400,000 went to the winner, $ 200,000 to runner-up, $ 150,000 to runner-up, and $ 100,000 to runner-up. The teams eliminated in the preliminary round received $ 60,000 (5th place), $ 40,000 (6th place), $ 30,000 (7th place) and $ 20,000 (8th place).
