Aya is a 2012 French-Israeli short film directed by Oded Binnun and Mihal Brezis . The film was shown to a limited extent in Israel in 2012 and was shown internationally for the first time in 2013 at the Jewish Film Festival in San Francisco . In 2015 the film received an Oscar nomination for Best Short Film .
