Ayotzinapa is a Mexican village in the metropolitan area of ​​the city of Tixtla de Guerrero in the municipality of the same name in the state of Guerrero with 84 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Ayotzinapa has a training center for primary school teachers, the Escuela Normal Rural Raúl Isidro Burgos , founded in 1926 , which gained international fame for the kidnapping of 43 student teachers in October 2014 (see mass kidnapping in Iguala 2014 ).
