Aznar II. Galíndez

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Aznar II. Galíndez († before 893) was a Count of Aragón in the late 9th century from the House of Galíndez .

Nothing more is known about Aznar II than his family relationships described in the Codex de Roda . He was the son of Galindo I. Aznárez and married to Oneca, a daughter of King García Íñiguez of Pamplona . Your children were:

  • Galindo II Aznárez († 922/924), Count of Aragon.
  • García Aznarez.
  • Sancha Aznarez; ∞ with Muhammad “Atauil” al-Tawil, Wali from Huesca .

He cannot have officiated in 858 and died in 903, as the Crónica de San Juan de la Peña claims. The documents of his father and son speak against it.
