The Azure Lake [ ˈeɪzɚ ˈleɪk ] is a mountain lake in Rocky Mountain National Park in the state of Colorado in the United States .
It is the second highest lake in a chain of lakes ( Gorge Lakes ) that extend through a side valley of the Forest Canyon . It is located at an altitude of 3627 m , at the foot of the east side of Mount Ida .
