The house at Bäuersche Straße 17 is a listed residential building in the town of Blankenburg (Harz) in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located in the western part of the old town of Blankenburg on the north side of Bäuerschen Straße. The building, which is also listed, borders Bäuersche Strasse 16 to the west.

Architecture and history

The two-storey half - timbered house was built according to dendrochronological dating in 1431 and is, together with the neighboring house at Bäuersche Straße 16, the oldest surviving residential building in the city of Blankenburg. The regularly spaced stands of the framework go over both floors and are unadorned. The half-timbered structure, comprising seven containers, shows strong warps that shape the appearance of the facade. There are wind boards on the house , the roof beams are not profiled.

In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a monument under registration number 094 00681 .
