Bé Find
Bé Find [ b'eː vʴind ], also Bébinn , Béfionn , is a member of the Túatha Dé Danann in the Celtic mythology of Ireland . This name denotes a goddess who is assigned to birth. Other mythological figures are also mentioned by the same name - whether they are always the same goddess is uncertain. She is also associated with the Celtic Otherworld , with both the Irish Mag Mell and the Welsh Annwn .
Bébinn is a combination of the old Irish words bean ([ban] "woman") and binn ("sonorous, melodic"), thus about "melodic woman", "woman (with) melodious (voice)". In Béfionn, the second syllable can be derived from fionn ([fin] "blond"). The variants Bé Bind, Bé Binn, Bebhinn, Bébhionn, Bébind and Béfind can also be found.
In the tale Táin Bó Froích , contained in the remscéla ("Pre-narratives") of the Ulster cycle , Bé Find is the mother of the hero Froech of Connacht and the sister of Boand .
