history
Svenska Direktflyg was founded in 2000. In January 2015, the Dutch regional airline AIS Airlines completely took over the flight operations of Svenska Direktflyg. The company has not operated its own fleet since then. Since then, flight operations have been carried out by AIS Airlines. The company also works with Flexflight . The company has been working with Amapola Flyg on flight bookings since 2018 . Amapola Flyg flights, which started on July 1st, can be booked on the Svenska Direktflyg website. At the end of July 2019, the Swedish transport authority announced that all routes were going to other airlines as part of a public service obligation and thus the routes will no longer be served by Svenska Direktflyg or AIS Airlines from October 2019. In December 2019 it was announced that Svenska Direktflyg was merging its activities with Amapola Flyg.
