Amapola Flyg is a Swedish cargo airline based in Stockholm . It operates cargo flights for the Swedish Post Office ( PostNord Sverige ), the Swedish express cargo company Jetpak and the Italian cargo airline MiniLiner . It also operates passenger flights.
history
Amapola Flyg was founded in 2004 and is wholly owned by the Swedish investment company Salenia AB . On her first assignment, she carried out 50 transport flights with Fokker for the Swedish Post in the north of Sweden. On July 1, 2018, Amapola Flyg started passenger air traffic with regional routes in Sweden, as its own passenger aircraft are rented out, 2 subcontractors will fly the lines. Amapola Flyg worked with the Swedish virtual airline Svenska Direktflyg on bookings , through whose website the flights could be booked. The flights from Stockholm / Arlanda via Lycksele to Vilhelmina are flown by the Danish airline Danish Air Transport (DAT) with an ATR 42 with 48 seats and the flights from Stockholm / Arlanda via Kramfors to Hemavan are operated by the Polish airline Sprintair with a Saab 340 flown. At the end of July 2019, the Swedish transport authority announced that, from October 2019, Amapola Flyg will operate the route from Stockholm / Arlanda via Hagfors to Torsby in addition to the two other routes . The route Stockholm / Arlanda via Hagfors to Torsby is flown by the Dutch AIS Airlines with a BAe Jetstream 32 with 19 seats. In December 2019 it was announced that Svenska Direktflyg was merging its activities with Amapola Flyg.
