Air Leap , actually Air Large European Aviation Project AB , is a Swedish regional airline based in Stockholm and based at Stockholm / Arlanda Airport . It is a subsidiary of the Norwegian Olsen Gruppen AS .

history

Air Leap was founded by the same owners as the airline Fly Viking . After FlyViking had ceased operations in January 2018, the virtual airline Next Move was founded in March 2018 to continue operating the Ørland - Oslo-Gardermoen route. Next Move was renamed Air Leap after the company bought parts of the bankrupt Swedish airline Nextjet . From parts of Nextjet was the Swedish Air Leap , but lacked an AOC to operate the Swedish routes, so the company is working among others, the Danish Danish Air Transport (DAT) , the Estonian Nyxair and the Dutch AIS Airlines together. On June 11, 2018, flights in Sweden resumed. On October 19, 2018, the Swedish transport agency issued the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) for Air Leap and registered the company as the official operator of three Saab 340Bs . The first flight under the new AOC took place on October 21, 2018 from Stockholm-Arlanda to Mariehamn . At the beginning of January 2020 it was announced that Sveaflyg will operate the Stockholm / Arlanda - Örnsköldsvik route with a Saab 2000 on behalf of Air Leap from February 1, 2020.
