The Kalmar Airport ( IATA code : KLR , ICAO code : ESMQ ) is an airport in the south of Sweden , the operator calls him Kalmar Öland Airport . It is located about three kilometers east of Smedby and five kilometers west-northwest of the eponymous town of Kalmar . The airport is operated by the municipality of Kalmar . The airport has a 2320 meter long runway with the 16/34 orientation and another 656 meter long runway with the 05/23 orientation. In 2016 around 250,000 passengers used the airport.
