The Halmstad Airport ( IATA code : HAD , ICAO : ESMT ) is an airport located in the province of Halland in southern Sweden . It is located about two kilometers northwest of Halmstad . The airport is operated by the specially founded Halmstad Flygplats AB. The airport has a 2268 meter long runway with the orientation 01/19 and was used by around 125,000 passengers in 2016.
