The Karlstad Airport ( IATA : KSD , ICAO : ESOK ; proper name Karlstad Airport ) is the new, inaugurated in 1997 commercial airport of the Swedish city of Karlstad . Its predecessor, Karlstad-Jakobsberg , built in the 1930s, was 3 km southwest of the city center and is now used as a golf course. In 2011 the number of passengers was 108,885.
Airlines and Destinations
Karlstad does not have a scheduled service to Stockholm-Arlanda . In the summer season, flights to holiday destinations on the Mediterranean are offered, for example with Sunclass Airlines to Palma de Mallorca and Gran Canaria and with Aegean Airlines to Chania .
