Danish Air Transport A / S ( DAT for short ) is a Danish airline based in Vamdrup and based at Esbjerg Airport .

history

Danish Air Transport was founded in 1989 and started operating as a cargo airline that same year . She was particularly involved in special missions such as transporting animals or supporting the Dakar Rally . From 1994 charter flights with passengers started, and since November 8, 1996 scheduled flights have also been offered.

Danish Air Transport is owned by the Rungholm family (60%) and private investors (40%). It also has a subsidiary in Lithuania with Danu Oro Transportas .

Destinations

Danish Air Transport serves destinations within Denmark and Norway . Machines are also chartered out to other airlines .

From January 1, 2020, the airline will take over the domestic German Saarbrücken - Berlin-Tegel connection up to three times a day , which was previously served by Luxair .
