Transavia Denmark was a Danish airline based in Copenhagen and based at Copenhagen Airport . It was a subsidiary of the Dutch airline Transavia Airlines and, like them, mainly appeared under the brand transavia.com and with the same corporate identity .

history

Transavia Airlines saw the bankruptcy of the Danish airline Sterling Airlines as an opportunity to enter the Danish market. Thus, on November 6, 2008, the company began charter flights from Billund Airport to various destinations in the Mediterranean. The first scheduled flights from Copenhagen Airport started on December 8, 2008 .

Transavia Denmark received the Air Operator Certificate from the Danish Aviation Authority on August 13, 2009 and was thus allowed to operate its own aircraft.

In September 2010 it was announced that Transavia Denmark will cease operations as of April 1, 2011 due to business targets not being met. The Dutch parent company is not affected.

fleet

As of January 2011, the Transavia Denmark fleet consisted of two aircraft:

A Boeing 737-700 had already been used before . All aircraft ever deployed (three) were leased from ILFC .
