Kolding municipality
Kolding Kommune is a Danish municipality in East Jutland . The current municipality was created on January 1, 2007 in the course of the municipal reform through the merger of the "old" Kolding municipality with the previous municipalities of Lunderskov and Vamdrup (with the exception of the parishes Bjerning Sogn , Fjelstrup Sogn and Hjerndrup Sogn , which joined the new Haderslev municipality ) , as well as the parish of Vester Nebel Sogn of the former Egtved municipality , all in Vejle Amt , and Christiansfeld Kommune in Sønderjyllands Amt .
Kolding municipality has a total population of 93,175 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) and an area of 604.40 km². It is part of the Syddanmark region . The administrative seat is in Kolding . The municipality works with five neighboring municipalities within the Trekantområdet region .
