Jane Louise Barkman (born September 20, 1951 in Bryn Mawr , Pennsylvania ) is a former American swimmer and two-time Olympic champion.

At the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City , she was a member of the US swimming relay over 100 m freestyle and won the gold medal with it. She also won bronze in the individual competition in the 200 m freestyle.

She resigned from top-class sport after the games.

But four years later, at the Summer Olympics in Munich , she made a comeback and was able to repeat her Olympic victory with the relay over 100 m freestyle.

She later became a swimming coach at Princeton University .
