Esbjerg Kommune is a Danish municipality in Jutland . It was created on January 1, 2007 in the course of local government reform by uniting the "old" Esbjerg municipality with the previous municipalities of Bramming and Ribe as well as the village of Grimstrup in the Grimstrup parish of the former Helle municipality , all in the Ribe office .
Esbjerg Municipality had a total population of 115,483 on January 1, 2020 (as of January 1, 2020) and an area of 794.50 km². It is part of the Syddanmark region . The seat of the administration is in Esbjerg .
