Location of Bryndum Sogn in Esbjerg Municipality
Bryndum Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Skast Herred in what was then Ribe Office , then to Esbjerg Municipality in the expanded Ribe Office , which was merged into the "new" Esbjerg Municipality in the Syddanmark region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .
2683 inhabitants live in the parish, 528 of them in the parish of Bryndum and 1734 in Tarp , which statistically also includes Esbjerg's district of Kjersing. (As of January 1, 2020). The church "Bryndum Kirke" is located in the parish.
In 1983 the parish of Gjesing Sogn split off from Bryndum Sogn.
