Grimstrup Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Skast Herred in the then Ribe Office , then to the Helle Municipality in the expanded Ribe Office , which was merged into the "new" Esbjerg municipality in the Syddanmark region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 . The larger part of the parish is in the area of ​​the Varde municipality , the main town Grimstrup in the area of ​​the Esbjerg municipality. On October 1, 2010, the former church district Rousthøje Kirkedistrikt in Grimstrup Sogn became an independent Sogn Rousthøje Sogn with the abolition of the Danish church districts .

Grimstrup Kirke

Grimstrup krat is the largest preserved oak forest in Denmark. The Ryttergraven fra Grimstrup is the richest Viking grave in southwest Jutland.
